Map View

All units with the Map View subscription can be viewed on the Map View page.

Map Subscription

To check your current terminal subscriptions, see Airtime and Service Options.

For further information, or if you wish to subscribe to this service, please ask your dealer or contact HOneywell Global Tracking.

Entering Map View

All units with the Map View subscription, will have a small 'globe' icon displayed in the left hand margin of the alerts and tracking pages, next to the unit name, and also at the top right hand corner of the unit tracking history page.

Clicking on the globe icon will display either the latest reported position or tracking history of the selected unit on the Map View page.

Window Size

The map image size will be automatically adjusted so that the Map View page fits neatly into your current browser window.

If you subsequently resize your browser window, the Map View page will automatically resize the next time it is invoked, either from the globe icon or by selecting any of the Map View page map controls.

The smallest screen size supported is 800 x 600 pixels. There is no upper limit on screen size, although the largest map image supported is 1,000 x 1,000 pixels.

If you are using a dialup internet connection, you may choose to resize your browser window to a smaller size in order to reduce the time taken to display the Map View page.

Map Scale

The map scale can be changed by selecting a different value from the Scale pulldown menu at the top right hand side of the map display except when displaying 'all units' or 'tracking history' views, when the map scale is fixed.

Note that all map scales are approximate and should not be used for navigation or precise distance calculation.

Tracking History

To view the unit's tracking history from the Map View page, select the History pulldown and select either 'Last Day', 'Last 7 Days', 'Last 30 Days' or 'Last 90 Days'.

If the unit has not transmitted a position report for some time, then some or all of these options may not be available.

A maximum of 100 tracking history points can be displayed. If selecting one of the 'Last N Days' entries from the History pulldown causes the maximum number of points to be displayed, the name of the pulldown will change to 'Last 100 Points'.

Moving the cursor over each tracking point will show its position, date and time.

The unit's tracking history can also be viewed by clicking on the globe icon from the top of the Unit Tracking History page.

You can jump straight to the selected unit's tracking history page, by clicking on the Tracking History link at the bottom of the left hand panel of the Map View page.

Selecting another unit via the Unit pulldown menu while in tracking history view, will display that unit's tracking history.

Note: Lines drawn between tracking points are for illustration only, and do not reflect the exact path taken by monitored units.

Fleet View

Other units within the selected unit's fleet can be viewed on the map by selecting 'All Units' from the 'Units' pulldown, or by selecting another unit name.

Moving the cursor over a unit icon on the map will display a pop-up showing the unit name, position, speed, course, and status.

Clicking the icon for a unit which is not currently selected, will select that unit.

Once a unit has been selected, the scale can be changed and you can 'zoom in' on the selected unit.

If a unit is selected by clicking on its icon on the map, any other units from the same fleet which are nearby, will also be displayed on the map.

To select a unit and not show nearby units from the same fleet, select the unit name from the Unit pulldown menu.

Other Fleets

Other fleets can be selected from the 'Fleet' pulldown.

Leaving Map View

You can return from the Map View page to the rest of the user interface by selecting the appropriate menu link from along the top of the page.

You can also jump back to the selected unit's tracking history page, by clicking on the Tracking History link at the bottom of the left hand panel of the Map View page.
